Which course should I take?
Start with your responsibilities.
ISO 31000 Risk Manager
Use a consistent process to assess, treat and review risks. A fundamental understanding of ISO 31000 and comprehensive knowledge of risk management. Foundation is not a mandatory prior certificate.
ISO 31000 Lead Risk Manager
Connect accountabilities, risk criteria and review arrangements. A fundamental understanding of risk-management principles, framework and process. A prior Risk Manager certificate is not listed as mandatory.
Training and credential eligibility are different decisions. Someone can study at a higher level without yet having the experience required for the corresponding full professional credential.
How you learn
Online. At your own pace.
Foundation and Lead Risk Manager are offered as Self-Study. Risk Manager also has recorded PECB eLearning. These offers do not include live classes, consultancy sessions or a paid Labs add-on.
Buy securely online in NZD. Your PECB course will be manually assigned in the PECB Dashboard within 24 hours of successful payment. A paid invoice is generated after payment. No Labs add-on is offered for ISO 31000. Confirm the learning-material access period before purchasing if this is important to your plans.
ISO 31000 in New Zealand
NZS ISO 31000:2025 is New Zealand’s identical adoption of ISO 31000:2018. Published on 17 October 2025, it superseded AS/NZS ISO 31000:2009. This course addresses the international 2018 edition.
